Do you Want to Work From Home? Check out US Companies That Offers Telecommute Positions in 2014

There are a lot of scams on the Internet that promise that you can work from the comfort of your own home, a lot of the are scams, most of them ask for money, but a few of them are legitimate.

A website called FlexJobs have created a database of companies that have a work at home arrangement with their employees. They have created a list of more than 25,000 companies for people looking for telecommuting work. They have also compiled 100 top companies that offers partial and full work-at-home job opportunities, which was based on an analysis of the job posting history of the employers in its database.

Sara Sutton Fell the founder and CEO of FlexJobs said: “The great news is remote work options are – and have been – on the upswing within companies. But the bad news is that it is still really difficult for most job-seekers to find these legitimate job opportunities amidst the scam, junk, and ads mixed in on most job boards out there. With this list, we want to help guide job-seekers to some of the leading, trusted companies that have shown that they incorporate telecommuting in their hiring practices.”

Telecommuting jobs or work-from-home jobs are very much in demand nowadays, due to high gas prices and traffic. The positions that FlexJobs have listed include a range of remote work such as exclusively working from home, partial telecommuting while working mostly from an office, and everything in between.

2014 list of top industries offering work-at-home opportunities include information technology, healthcare, sales and marketing, education, nonprofit etc. Jobs that are available are data entry, sales representative, senior analyst, nurse case manager, account executive, Web or software developer, virtual teacher, and accountant.

1. Sharon, MA - is a town in New England that has plentyful good jobs in Boston, Providence, and the Route 128 tech corridor.
